Columbus transplant Mark Kleine has been recording both professional and student-level musicians since he started as a recording engineer at the Arizona State University Herberger Institute’s School of Music in 2007. A lifelong “techie,” Mark started Kleine Custom Recordings in 2010 as a high-quality mobile recording solution to serve musicians in Cincinnati, Ohio. His education began as an undergraduate music major at the Schwob School of Music in Columbus, Georgia. Since starting up, Kleine Custom Recordings has been contracted by a multitude of college faculty and students to record solo recitals and chamber music performances, as well as audition CDs and DVDs. Many students who have submitted our recordings have successfully earned admission to Aspen Music Festival, Chautauqua Music Festival, and Kent Blossom Music Festival. Additionally, with our assistance, students have passed prescreening auditions for schools as prestigious as the Manhattan School of Music. Other recent clients include Cincinnati’s concert:nova ensemble and the Chamber Music Festival of Lexington’s 2012 July Series.
